Jim Kilroy at Barn Owl is terrific. I bought my 500 c/m from him, because he would repair it, too. I drove a couple of hours to his place and we spent the afternoon talking cameras. I've since sent him my Rolleicord for repair and have directed others to him for Rolleiflex repair. Yes, he was trained by David Odess and has his Hasselblad tools. But he's super-handy and talented in construction and home repair, and can do just about anything mechanical.
I have a few endgame setups. For medium format Mamiya RB67 + 90 mm lens. For 35mm SLR Pentax LX + 50 mm f2 and for 35mm rangefinder Voigtländer Bessa R2 and Canon 7s and Voigtländer Ultron 35 mm lens and Nokton 50 mm lens.
My end-game desire is to never lose drive to make images. Once that is gone, no gear will help revive it nor maintain it. And none of that desire is linked to any particular camera system. They all have something on any given day to make it work.
I would like it if my endgame combination were my Zeiss Ikon ZM and 50/1.5 or Contax II with the Zeiss Opton 50/1.5. However the way things go for me it will most likely be my Argus C3 and Cintar 50/3.5 if I can still see through the viewfinder. The other two will be out of action on a shelf.
