I've been wanting for some time to start making simple emulsions for camera usage (either on glass or film base). My final goal is ~ISO 15 and pan. sensitivity, though that's (obviously) a long way off.

Where would be a good place to start?

Get the book "Silver Gelatin" by Reed and Jones, or take one of my workshops.

Go to Denise Ross' web site (URL posted elsewhere) for pictures of her darkroom and some results. See the results of our ISO 40 ortho emulsion posted here as well.

Good luck with the pan. That is going to be a beast to handle.
