I wanted to give a subscription as a Christmas present. Does anyone know the status?

LOL, tell me about it!

The little details are a killer and we're learning about each and every one of them

I had really hoped to send this to the printer this month and we are pretty close to making that happen. I just got the second edit from the Editor and will be working on those changes this week.

I'm also sorry to say that the website has been completly ignored as we work on the actual magazine. If you have specific questions you may pm me or Aggie.

Other than that, I think the magazine looks great and has fantastic content ( I may be somewhat biased  ). I can't wait to get this baby out the door and start getting consumer feedback.

I haven't been around here lately so I had no ida of whats going on with the magazine.Whenever I went to my local Borders the past few months I had been looking for the magazine thinking it might be there. Sounds like you are in the home stretch. Keep on trucking and you will make it to the finish line.

And you plan on doing 4 of them a year?

Or is this turning into an annual publication?

The first issue is where we have learned a lot of interesting things we didn't know until we faced them, that we needed to know. Bless Tana's heart for knowing we needed and ISSN, not an ISBN number. It's little quirks like that we will not be facing with the subsequent issues. We have the second issue underway as we speak. I have a backer, and things are set. We will have this puppy out soon. I personally think it couldn't happen unless I had met Alan Peck. He is one very willing and great guy with this project.

As they say two steps forward, one step backward. Yes it will be a quarterly magazine, and once everything is under control it will go to bimonthly.

I've tried subscribing many times through the webpage (both paypal and CC buttons) and failed miserably... What's the trick?

Why is a 3 year US subscription more expensive per year than a 2 year subscription? Bigger gamble?

Nope, I went back and checked the figures of what should have been on the website, and actually there was a typo, so the people signing up now for a 2 year subscriptiobn are getting a better deal than should have been. It was supposed to be $59 for two years.

Aggie, can you mention the APUG Print Sales Gallery in your magazine? Or maybe Sean could buy an ad?

Jon
Sean has asked the gallery participants to submit scans so I can put together an ad. The last time I checked only one person has sent me anything. If it's down to the wire then I'll make do with what I have.

BTW Jon, I'm crazy for your Dungeness and Pebble photos that we have in the magazine from the contest. They are two of my favorite images in the entire issue.

Alan,

If you still need images for the gallery ad, I'd be happy to send you a JPG.

Please let me know. Thanks!
