Well, it's chill setting now. Smooth as guernsey cream, no clumps at all.

We'll see how it coats at 6400 feet.

Elevation. I could go to Taos, which is over 9000 feet, but I have trouble breathing.Our son Andrew liver near St. Louis at 550' and speds two days with altitude sickness when he comes to visit.

Well, finished the make and the coated sheets are drying. KI + PMT and Photo-Flo surfactant.

I also saw that I need to do some more light tightening on my darkroom. Who puts a skylight in a garage!? Only in New Mexico.

Joe

Joe - according to Wikipedia, Taos is just only 7000 ft. You must be thinking of Angel Fire at 9000 ft... ;^)

Good luck with your emulsion!

Printed today. I have images to scan that ae still drying. Brush coating emulsion sucks and is definately off my list. Contrast is OK but printing time is 2 minues wit Beseler 810 head down to almost table height. more later

Joe;

Using an enlarger with a contact paper is the pits! Besides which, many enlargers have a UV absorber built in!

And yes, as I said in class, if you want an "arty look" try brush coating or the other methods discussed, but if you want good stuff use the other methods such as wire wrapped rods, tray dipping and coating blades.
