Empco Silent Shutter

I have been given a 11.5"x11.5" shutter with a 6.5" hole. Shutter is electronic using 95-125Vac converted to 95-125Vdc. Only in open or close position. Does any one have information on these shutters? Is it possible to use say 12Vdc so I can it up on a battery?

I gues you will need a 12Vdc solenoid in stead of the one in the shutter now.

I have never heard of this shutter though.

Something from a repro camera ? Even in cm's it would be quite a beast !
