Eliot Porter's All Under Heaven

So I came across a copy of Eliot Porter's All Under Heaven. This is the limited edition cloth bound with gold foil stamp. #68/250. It also includes an 8x10 dye transfer print. The print is printed by a third party not Mr. Porter. Both the book and the print are signed by Porter. It is still in the publishers shipping box. Absolutely new condition. My question is dose anyone know where to look to find what a price should be for this book? Any help would be great.

Try Bookfinder.com, you can put additional description info like "limited" in the keywords to narrow results, there are check boxes for signed copies and first editions.
My bookseller wife adds that you may not find the limited on bookfinder, if it is there, you probably want to throw out the bottom and top prices you find. Also, a potentially more meaningful source will be prices realized of auctions. Sotheby's started as a book auction house, and may have current information of what that book may be worth. There is also ebay completed auctions.
Also, the WestLicht Photographica Auction may be another source to try; Dead Link Removed

I haven't checked the value, but I'll gladly buy it from you for $62.95

Porter was reportedly one of three photographers who were startup investors in a Mexico-based dye transfer lab. They wanted more control over dye transfers than they could get from existing American labs. I don't know if any of them lived in Mexico, but that would have been a good way to economize on labor. I doubt that lab survived long as there was hardly any market for dye transfer "art" prints in the 80s and that lab would have had to compete with fabulously good Ektacolor prints as well as (misguided IMO) enthusiasm for Cibachrome.

However, the books listed are just standard first editions. What you have is much rarer and, as a signed limited edition, will certainly be worth much more to a serious collector of photographic books.

As your post was in 2012, did you keep the book or did you sell it? - if so for what price?

A copy sold recently here in Berlin for 400€ at a dedicated photo book auction.

The book you described appeared on the ArtNet site as having been sold at auction but not being a member I didn't see the price. I happen to have a copy of that book (first ed) but not the version you mentioned. It is a beautiful book and my guess is that most of the value is in the print that comes with it.
