I seem to have burned the modelling lamp of one of my Elinchrom Style RX 300 monoblocks. The manual states that its a 250W halostar, of socket E27 with a 2,5AF fuse.
Do you know if that's something I would be able to find in a local electronics/lights store, or is it highly specialized and need to be obtained from the local Elinchrom representative or other photographic store?
Actually, they seem to be easy to find.
I went to a lighting store in the neighborhood and they carry them, but it just happened that they were out, so they placed an order for me. I could go looking to another store, but didn't have time.
The funny thing is that I prefaced my request for the bulb "I am about to ask for something difficult" and the employee without fretting at all replied "that's not difficult at all actually".
The ones that they gave me were not frosted but clear, so they were different.
I tried one but didn't work. I changed the fuse, to no avail.
Should I look for another store? Call the greek representatives of Elinchrom? Is the unit faulty maybe?
