Dear fellas, recently I needed to buy new lighting equipment (Elinchrom ELC500 and FIVE). I had used Elinchrom for the last 25 years with no concerns, simply used a cord to trigger. This time I wanted something fancy ;-) but ran into problems. I already contacted Elinchrom support but have not heard from them the last couple of days. Maybe some of you can help me out …

1. When I hold the Skyport Pro without a camera and the flash units are paired, neither the flash output nor the modeling light output is displayed for either the ELC500 or the FIVE.

2. The flash output can be adjusted continuously. However, the modeling light can only be turned on or off by turning the dial; its brightness cannot be adjusted, regardless of whether the modeling light on the flash unit is set to "free" or "proportional."

3. If I use the "Select" button on the Skyport transmitter and select the ELC500, I can only adjust the power between 0.1 and 1.4, but cannot set a higher flash output. Turning the modeling light on or off is not possible in this state. If the flash unit was previously set to a power higher than 1.4, the power in this case jumps to a maximum of 1.4. When I select the FIVE flash head using the "Select" function and try to change its power, the power jumps to a minimum of 5.5, and I can then only adjust it within the range of 5.5 to 6.3, but more frequently to lower values. If I return from "Select" to the settings for "all" flashes, I can adjust both units smoothly again, even beyond the previously encountered limitations.

These observations are initially independent of the camera; therefore, they must occur in the interaction between the Skyport Pro and the flash heads. To my knowledge, both heads have the latest firmware (1.3 and 1.6, respectively).

I specifically purchased the Skyport Pro because it is supposed to be compatible with Olympus/Panasonic cameras. Therefore, I was hoping for additional features that the Transmitter Plus does not offer. My Panasonic Lumix S5ii's transmitter triggers both flashes, however, I'm experiencing the following problems:

1. I can't find any instructions on how to enable TTL, and this isn't documented.

2. I can only trigger the flashes up to 1/200 sec – high-speed sync doesn't work. I've tried selecting the "HS" setting on the Skyport – without success.

3. If I set the "ESP Mode" on the Skyport to "Speed," the display turns red, and the flashes don't fire at all.

4. This doesn't change even if I set the "Flash Mode" on the flash unit to "Action" or the "Recycling Time" to "Fast" – the flash still doesn't fire. 5. The flashes only fire in the "ESP normal" setting. Even though "HS" is still active and the flash heads are set to "Action" and "fast," I can't achieve synchronization at shutter speeds faster than 1/200 sec.

Thank you som much in advance!
Regards, Till
