Any APUGErs living or visiting Toronto are welcome to our open house tomorrow .

I would ask that all here keep quiet as we would rather not see Dinesh .. so moms the word.

In all seriousness, drop by if you can and see what an image in the hands of a master printer can become.

When Dinesh walks in a room everyone diverts their eyes.

He is so ugly even the lab dogs will not look him directly in the eye.

Now that we have awoken the beast and he is coming here , I think my open house is doomed.

I am at least wide as I am tall to boot.

I have wooden blocks put under my feet to allow me to reach the dials, and a winch system above me to wrap a rope to my belt to keep me stable and help me move.


The Open House was packed from 4-9 pm I am always amazed that after 22 years of operating a small business we are still seeing faces from 1990 and we are seeing new faces of young people walking in. I was exhausted by 9pm.
A few APUGers and LFPers did show up and that is always nice to see.

I will post some pics of the opening over time, it was fun.

Sorry I missed the event. Maybe sometime in the future I will be able to make it back up to Toronto.

Thanks Bruce, though all the work is now headed west, I am going to find locations East so we can show on both coasts at the same time. Hope to see you again soon.

We are planning a nice US/Canadian photographer weekend visit to George Eastman House , set aside a weekend in Jan to come to Rochester, I will be posting more info after I get back from California.

I kid with Dinesh all the time here but over the last 12 years he has been coming into my darkroom and watching, sometimes helping, and franky I like his prints so much I have
one of his prints up on my private gallery at home... Yes he is ugly but he does have game with the camera and enlarger.

I'm glad it went well, Bob. One of these days I'll have to make it up to Elevator and visit. It's definitely on my to do list. Love what you and your place does for photography in general.

I hope he's generous, because it takes a lot to get the Swede into the zone with drinks.
