ELC 250W bulb in place of EJL 200W bulb

Is it safe to use a 250W ELC bulb instead of a 200W EJL bulb in an 1989 Fujimoto 450M-C with a dichroic head? The enlarger has a large voltage stabilizer and it worked without any problems for a few months with an EJL bulb that came with it. ELC bulbs are easily available for me locally, unlike EJL bulbs. Apart from the 50W difference in wattage (and a third of the price), they have exactly the same characteristics of focus, voltage and colour balance. What might be the biggest potential risk here?

Heat can be the problem when using a higher wattage bulbs, but an extra 50w may be OK.

My thoughts exactly. EJL lamps are easy enough to obtain, at least in the US from many online specialty lamp dealers.
