EL-OMEGAR Lens

Digging through some of my father's darkroom stuff, I found a lens labeled EL-OMGAR LL455-111, f = 75mm, 1:3.5. On the side it says "Lens made in Japan". I assume it is an enlarging lens.

I am not a lens guru and wonder what somebody can tell me about this lens.

This was the "kit" lens that came with lower end Omega enlargers, including the B22. 3 element, I believe. It may be 32mm as opposed to the now standard 39mm mount (I don't think it was 25mm, but possible). IMO, little value in today's market for darkroom gear and then only if it has the corresponding jam nut.

As mgb noted, it was a low-end lens that came packaged with enlargers.

My Durst F60 came with an el-Omegar 50mm lens. My recollection was that it was threaded for the standard Leica mount.

Lens of that variety worked reasonably well if stopped down a couple of notches. I used mine for many years, but eventually replaced it with an el-Nikor.

as far as actual results...
the nikkor was slightly darker
everything else looked the same

The made in Germany version was the Omegaron.
