Are you Juan Durán?
I have just make that question a few minutes ago?

I am Sergio by the way.

Ah, Ektonal, I remember that fondly. Great, great developer, used to use it with Agfa Portriga with stunning results, almost looked toned with out toning, even better with a light gold or sel tone. Sadly gone, I still have a few packets saved up for special uses. It is a Metol/HQ warmtone developer which uses sodium hydroxide instead of sodium carbonate, much better in toning and lasts a long time for printing, saving each batch in a sealed bottle and mixing the old with the new at maybe 1:3 or 1:2, a gallon stock would last me a month of solid printing, 50-100 prints a week. Alas, Kodak never released the formula, but since I still have some saved up I have been meaning to 'deconstruct' it, the package give the weights of both the Na Hydroxide packet and the Metol/HQ/Sodium Sulfite packet. I would need some help in figuring out the ratios if anyone wants to help.

Hi Sergio and RidingWaves

We are by de way

I think it will be a mission impossible

Ektonol is probably related to DK-93 but using Metol rather than p-Aminophenol, it's almost certainly a "Kodalk" type developer but the Kodalk/Sodium Metaborate is only formed when the developer is actually mixed up.

Ian

Yes Ian, I think you are on the right track. I haven't compared DK-93 since I found a homebrew alternative to Ektonal, but I may just try it yet.
