ektachrome64 cross processed, anyone done this?

I picked up some really cheap, just expired ektachrome64 daylight 35mm. Was going to use it for some experimental shots of my new single element camera. I've been told to over expose by 2 stops, I might just bracket a lot and take notes for the 1st roll.

I've tried a roll in C41 and found as well as an increase in speed by about a stop the contrast was up by quite a bit. I'm not sure if you can pull process something like this but it might be worth a try if you get similar results.

I have xproccessed alot of this stuff. I rate it around 32iso and bracket. It is not as contrasty as EPR/EPN and EPP but more contrasty than EPT. All these films are similar colour wise when xprocessed. The crossover is in yellow/blue with some green (due to mask being clear and the need to up the magenta). The colours are not as strong nor do thay block up as quickly as the daylight vareints of kodak's chromes when xprocessed. EPT is a better tungstun chrome to xprocess -- wider latitude, less crossover and more punch. With EPY you get all the headaches with less reward.

The overexpose chromes for xproccesing by 2-stops is a myth. Over exposing c41 materials by as much as 4 stops when proccessing in e6 is true.

Sorry for some reason I thought that you had bought epy the tungstun chrome. EPR the daylight chrome, should be shot at ~50 iso. It is has less contrast, than EPP/EPN, good (but not otherwordly) saturation blue/yellow crossover. The film can be over exposed if you don't mind the highlights blocking up -- two stops would be excessive.
