I am wondering if anyone had any experiences with shooting Ektachrome 64 slide film? Many folks seem to praise it while other eschew it for it's apparent graininess. Any recommedations or observations on this slide film would be appreciated.
I used it to do some copystand work. The B&W images I copied onto it came out with a cool tone. I much prefer Provia 100 for its neutrality. Copying a B&W photo onto colour slide is a good way to find out the colour characteristics of the film. E100VS had a strong magenta cast. Obviously there are many uses for film apart from copying, but I found it interesting.

I started using this when it came out, when it wasn't too bad. Today it's about the worst slide film on the planet: slow, grainy, desaturated, blue. Friends at Kodak have said that the only reason they keep making it is that (inexplicably) people keep buying it, presumably because they have adapted their technique to using it. I CERTAINLY wouldn't choose it unless I were already very well used to it.
