Having used several rolls of Plus-X under artificial light rated at EI 400 and developed in Diafine as recommended by the manufacturer and liking the 'look' they gave very much I am wondering what you are rating Plus-X at when you develop it in Diafine? The paper I am using is ADOX fineprint which is an integral part of the 'look' and can handle the negs I have produced thus far on PX with ease.

All help much appreciated,

Lachlan

I have used Dinafine in several years, but I did shoot Plus X at 250 for Dinafine.

The Diafine packaging doesn't make a distinction between daylight and tungsten, but I'd generally expect Plus-X to gain about 1/3 stop in daylight compared to tungsten studio lights, possible 1/2 to 2/3 stop compared to home tungsten lighting. That's a small enough difference, on negative film, that I'd recommend just keeping the EI 400 you've liked.
