Speaking of Eggleston...As someone who has shot my share of weddings in what we call "the Delta", I get a warm feeling in my heart knowing I'm running the same Hwy 61 that Bill partied and photographed in his heyday. Same as when I find myself on Madison Ave. in midtown Memphis. He outlasted all these key figures of the Memphis scene..Alex Chilton, Chris Bell, Andy Hummel, Jim Dickinson, Tommy Hoehn, Jerry McGill...and ofcoarse, Elvis. : )
