I just used up the last of my Efke KB25 and was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Rollei RPX 25 and how it compares to the Efke?

I don not have first hand experience, but read a review in the "Foto Classic" magazine yesterday which said that when it comes to sharpness and resolution, RPX 25 is far superior to Rollei Pan 25, which is Efke 25 under a different label I think.

I could be wrong but I don't think RPX 25 is Efke KB25 under a different label.

Have shot both and they do look different. KB25 is nice and gives sort of a retro look. RPX 25 is very sharp and a bit more contrasty, at least in my camera.

No, the old Rollei Pan 25 was Efke KB25, that´s what I´ve meant!

Definitely getting time for me to go to bed. I certainly misread that one Slixtiesix. My apologies.

I'm definitely planning on trying some out.
It's actually a lot cheaper around here than most other films, $32 / 5 compared to $40 for FP4 or $44 for PanF, and it's about half the price of the last remaining Efke going around...

Yes it is a lovely film to use and work with. In 120 it lies almost as flat as sheet film so is easy to get into the negative holder. The results for me have been exactly what I wanted and so it is now one of my regular films. The price has gone up though since its launch.

If remember correctly, Rollei Pan 25 v2 was Efke 25. Rollei Pan 25 v1 was an updated Orwo NP15.

On a side note, I quite like the look of the RPX25 pictures I am seeing. I've tried Efke 25/50, and don't like the look. Horses for courses I guess. Worse thing is, I have shedloads of Efke, and need to sell it!

Thanks everyone. One more thing, I usually soup my Efke in Neophin Blue and like the results Ive had but the dev chart does not list RPX with neophin blue. Should the times be around the same

Not sure what times you were using but if I were using Neophin Blue I would try it in the 6 to 7 minute range.
