washing now. the frame #s are thick and it doesnt say efke 400 on the top. it doesnt say anything on it. i will compare the grain of it and the hp5 and will tell you the results. nice tonality negs though
Please let us know the results. I'm not sure if the other Efke films say "EFKE" on the frame edges either. The latest Freestyle catalog clearly says it is made in Croatia. It would be great to have another 400 speed monochrome film.
Im in the process of doing the same test. Shooting Efke 400 along side Ilford HP5+. I'll also get back to you guys on this when I get the rolls done and developed at the lab. I'll later scan them. Markok let us know your results as well. What developer did you use and how long? I will be getting mine done in Xtol for 8 1/2 minutes. Also Markok did you prewash your roll or just started with the developer?
i used d76 1-1 13 min. the negs look very diffrent, have a very diffrent tonality, especially on thew water photos and the nature photoswill look under a loupe later on.
prewash with water. i belive its diffrent. i will look at the grain
