Edward is having a bit of a renaissance in Europe- a good thing.
A large and beautifully-curated show of his work is now on display at the Fundacion Mapfre in Madrid. It was previously on display in Barcelona; the prints come from the Center for Creative Photography in Tucson, who hold Weston's archive.
If you're in Madrid or can easily get there, I'll recommend it highly.
(full disclosure; my wife is Head of Conservation at the CCP. She prepared the exhibit and has acted as courier for it during its recent travels.)
Amazing show with vintage prints. To see these originals were quite an experience.
Palladium prints, Platinum prints, Platinum and gum, and silver gelatin prints.
Festival for the eyes !
BTW, That Palladium with gum print from George Seeley was stunning.
The iPhone pic is an insult to the smoothness of that beauty of a print.
Never heard of him.
