Does anyone have any experience with Edwal 102? From what I have read it seems like a cool toned softer working developer using phenidone and glycin. I would be using it with ADOX Fineprint or ADOX Nuance paper.

All help much appreciated,

Lachlan

I mixed some up a few years ago but I'm not going to be any help. I was looking for a very specific look/tone on Forte PW. It was nice but didnt quite give it to me and end of story.

Edwal 102 does not contain Phenidone and the only developing agent used in it is glycin. I can list the formula if you are interested.

Never tried it, but it is:

Edwal 102 paper developer (Formulary 102)

Water (52C) 900 ml
Sodium sulfite 80 g
Sodium phosphate (tri-basic) 120 g
Glycin 25 g
Potassium bromide 3 g
WTM 1 l

Dilute 1:3 for slower papers, 1:4 for faster papers. Develop 2 - 6 minutes. (No image will appear in the first minute or so.) Use a non-hardening fixer.
Gives neutral black tones. If desired, potassium bromide (10 percent solution) may be added as needed.
