EDTA Di- versus Tetra

I've seen conflicting information on whether it's the Di- version or the Tetra- version that we should use for clearing baths in PtPd. What's the difference? If you order one instead of the other by mistake, is it unusable?

One (Di-version) is acidic, the other (Tetra-version) is alkaline.

Disodium EDTA is the best one for clearing pt/pd and kallitype.

Okay, thanks for that. I got some DiSodium. Can this also be used when making Ferric Solution #1, or is it better to use Tetra for that? The confusing thing is that B&S packs Tetra in their kits.

Also, the least expensive source I've found for EDTA appears to be Artcraft, does anyone have a less expensive source? The Chemistry Store doesn't carry this.
