I am looking at either buying my first Pyrocat HD from PhotoFormulary or artcraft. The PF "to make 10 liters" is about $14. For Artcraft, to make this formula: Sodium Metabisulfite 10 g; Pyrocatechin 50 g; Phenidone 2 g;
Potassium Bromide 1 g; Potassium Carbonate 750 g. Which will make 1000ml of each solution, they want about $14.
So it seems to be that the artcraft is a much better value. Am I missing something?
Thanks
Neal

You are missing paying PF to weigh the chemicals and assemble them in a package.

Art Craft will make a pyrocat kit for you less than PF. Just contact them.

The most economical approach is to purchase the constituent chemicals themselves.

PyroCat is very inexpensive.

That be the fact Jack. If it was the most expensive developer I would still be using it.

You should save on shipping with Artcraft. You are in NJ, PF is in Montana, Artcraft is in the capital region of NY, but both are good folks to deal with.
