Ebay/paypal policy change... Seller Beware!

You'll change your tune as soon as they pull some arbitrary action on your account!

I won't, actually. I'm aware of the risks of using paypal, and if I get burned, so be it.

Limits

You lost me there. Buyers can't be given negative or neutral feedback, but sellers still can. So how does eBay stop you from telling the truth about a seller in feedback?

My story was long and involved and i needed the web page to let people know what happened. Ebay does not allow hyperlinks in feedback. And they don't of course, tell you that, until you do it and the seller complains. Then they remove your feedback and won't let you post a new, non-hyperlink one. One strike and you're out.

My falut for not knowing the rules.

Paypal are acting illegally when they hold the funds that YOU own.

Well, you see, that's the thing. It's not your money until they release it to you. Please read your agreement notice for more info.

Since they are not reg. by FDIC it is a civil matter and how many of us are going to file in our civil court? When we do, eBay will file a motion to have it moved to their state.

They count on this.

Bingo! He got it.

Gary is in the UK; I wouldn't even begin to speculate how their banking regs may or may not affect PayPal and their user agreement.

Just to put your mind at rest (well here in the UK anyway) I have used eBay and PayPal both buying and selling in the UK and have had no problems. Cheers Dave

Not sure if this got mentioned yet:

That's OK. Unbridled hubris has its price...
