Eastern Canadian labs ?

Hi,

Would anyone know of a photolab in eastern Canada that will develop 120 C-41 negatives( no prints)for a reasonable fee,does a good job, and will accept mail orders ?

Try http://www.elevatordigital.ca. They do a great job on everything they touch and are very economical if you look at their pricing. They charge a per-run fee as opposed to a single roll fee. So send them a bunch of film instead of a single roll. Give them a buzz or email for further clarification.

I assume you've tried Carsand-Mosher? Not sure if they still do film, or accept mail orders, but they are in Eastern Canada, so you might as well call them up and see what they offer if location is important to you.

I've been using Toronto Imageworks for my E6 sheet film. They seem quite good.

I use(d)/use Toronto Image Works for my E-6 work. Robert has been exceptionally accommodating. I have no experience in Montréal, despite my living here.

DAFO used to be the best lab in town, they had a dip-n-dunk line of E6/C-41, and they processed B&W in XTOL or HC-110. Always same-day, 1 or 2 hours time of processing. When I began photography, they were developing my first negatives, and it was my reference for B&W. Plus, they were the last place in town I know of who could do real projection RA4 prints.

Like everything else, they went to the dustbin, sold their equipment, and closed the place, but I remember the smell of fixer in a particular Old Montreal alleyway...
