We are constantly reading about Eastern bloc film cameras, but just out of curiosity, did they ever produce any film scanners ?

It depends what mean by "film scanner". The Eastern Block was no more by 1991. If you refer to scanner for film for private use, back then there was not such in the West either.

AgX thank you for your reply. I was referring to consumer film scanners,so what you say makes perfect sense.

Did the Eastern bloc motion picture industry transition to scanning film for editing purposes?
