I've always thought that the window on the back of my Holgas would cause a light leak if pointed at the sun.

With Holgas, how can you tell?? 😉

In addition, the sun tends to be a lot brighter than most small lights.

I find the numbers on the Foma 100 to be easier to read through the red cover. And if the camera doesn't have a sliding cover I make one from cardboard and tape. But not everyone likes Foma 100 as much as I do.
