I just ordered a Hasselblad 500 cm and in this photo can anyone identify the focusing screen? Is it the original or upgraded? $_3 (9).JPG

Ok.. So it's probably the original. Does anyone have a photo handy of the acute mat d screen?

I agree with Frank, it looks like you have the standard screen.
The acute matte d screens have a couple of notches in one corner;

Be careful if you go ebay shopping for a screen. I've often seen standard screens described as Acute Mattes because they are in the box the Acute Matte came in when the PO of the camera/kit did the swap/upgrade.:wink:

I have one of those that is an Accumat. I like it because I can use it to line up verticals or the horizon.

Looks like the old standard screen. It is not an Acute Matte or Acute Matt D, because with these, the cross is etched into the glass. In your case it is painted onto the glass.

I would say it's the standard screen myself. Contrary to most people's experiences, I prefer the screen that has the large "bubble" in the center for quicker focusing. Yes, the Acute Matte is brighter, but the bubble screen is contrasty and things just pop into focus.
