I live in the Houston area and the lab that processes my E6 recently stopped that service (disappointing as they do a great job with all of their processing and printing), so I am looking for a new lab. Any recommendations? I realize that I will be dealing with this on an "out of town" basis.
Dwayne's Photo in Parsons, KS does mail order. Their turn-around time for E6 is 2-3 days in the lab, I believe. They can also "print" digital files (and maybe negatives - I haven't asked them about negatives) to slides. Their website is http://www.dwaynesphoto.com/. I've sent them some files on a CD to have printed to slides and they came back looking as good as the scans I sent them.
Dwayne's was the last lab IN THE WORLD to be able to process Kodachrome as color.
Dodge-Chrome, in Silver Spring, MD, has always done a good job on my E-6, from 35mm to 4" x 5" sheets. They also offer imprinting of 35mm slide mounts, something, it turns-out, that is not that easy to find. They have a film mail order form on their website.
After Data Chrome went out of business I started using NCP (North Coast Photo) in Carlsbad, CA. http://northcoastphoto.com/
I could not be happier with their service on E-6 with regard to quality, pricing and general turnaround time. I think they have an aka of Auto Imagery.
