It is my understanding that from serial number 2,473,252, the 21mm f/3.4 had rear cells cut-out to allow metering on the M5.
Otherwise, the M5's meter arm gets in the way.
Has this lens been modified to fit the Leica M5?

If not such is a fairly simple mod. to the lens mount so the arm would not engage, similar to the mount keying in the proper frame line.
