Dye ind printer for digital negatives?

Want to make enlarged negatives for contact printing. Silver as well as Platinum.

Will a dye ink printer like the Canon 5 ink models work for this?

Any drawbacks to them?

Also, anyone know a workaround for the 22 or 25 inch paper size so I can put in longer sheets for panoramic negatives?

Dye inks may work for silver but not t/pd. They do not block enough UV.
