Hi everyone !

Sorry my english is not the best.
I just bought a Durst rcp20 and I would like to know how do you use your chemistry.

So I load 2,5l of D, 2,5l of B and some water in the middle. I suppose I'm gonna do about 10 prints and test strip per session.
Can I re-use the same mix let say a few days after?

Thank you !

Yes, if you store the solutions in containers with out air between sessions. If memory serves, you replenish at a rate of 10ml per 8x10” surface area. I run a bunch of prints and when I drain the chemicals back into their containers. I do the replenishment at that time- so I am ready for the next session. The chemistry lasts quite awhile. Also, in a RA4 roller transport machine I would run developer, blix and the water bath at the end.
It is very economical.

IIRC what you're supposed to do is:
  1. Developer
  2. Blix
  3. Washless stabilizier
That way you don't need to wash after. RA4 doesn't ordinarily require a stop bath (although you can use one if you run into problems).

Thank you for those answer is super helpful !!
Just double check how much you have to replenish the "washless stablizer" as if it gets weak you'll presumably have print problems.

Personally I'll just use water since I live in a veritable swamp.

I believe in a good washing after the final blix. It does make a difference in print longevity. And I never re-use chemistry on a different day. If you do that, like for a roller-transport processor, you need to properly replenish it.

Yes a good wash will be necessary at the end.
So if I do a replenish at let say 1/3 of D and V it will be ok?
