Hi there,

I recently acquired a durst rcp 20 for tabletop RA4s 8x10 color prints. The machine looks pretty straight forward and I started the conversion process to speed up the timing belt - the only thing that's really confusing me is the replenishing rates. The machine takes 2L of developer and 2L Blix/bleach, leaving me with 3L of each solution - the directions don't mention anything about a starter or replenishing other than, after your 2nd session, dump 1/3 of the chemistry and refill for replenishment.

Does anyone have any advice and if I should be adding chemistry every 5-10 pages, or something of that sort? Looking to get the most consistent results day to day.

In the future, ill likely print 1-2 times a week, but this is my first go and will probably go for Kodak chemistry next.

Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

Hi I have one of these machines too, and have been running RA4 through it since the 90's. I fill with 2.5 liters of chemistry, run ten 8x10's, then I drain 100ml of chems from the CD and the Blix and top back up to the line in the unit with fresh chems. I totally dump the wash and replace at each replanish.

Trust this info is of use.

I used the Durst RCP 20 until about 10 years ago. Kodak used to recommend a replenishment rate for the Developer at 13.5ml per square foot of paper and the Bleach-Fix rate at 20ml per square foot. You can find the Kodak RA4 Manual Z130 at this link.

The machine is a work horse and there is not a lot to go wrong with it if you keep it clean. If you need the English version of the manual contact and I will get a copy to you.
I have currently listed my RCP20 for sale locally but haven't had any interest yet. If I don't get any offers I will list it here for parts along with a Durst RCP 40

I would love to get a copy of the Durst manual if you still have it? Newbie member, can’t send a dm.
