Hi

I'm setting up a color darkroom with a Durst Printo. I'v bought two different used sets, and in one set with three tanks, two of them have sticky squeegees, they clog together, I think, and make the machine coping (or what you would say in english) and stop. All three tanks in the three tank set has pretty wearied squeegees. So what I did was take one from each of the better tanks and mix with the two that worked the worst, they run better but not good enough. When I got the three tanks they where separated with some plastic film.

I need five tanks to run three rinse tanks as I don't have any water yet in my dark room (it's a shed) so Fuji how delivered the chemicals recommended three tanks of stabilizator in the water to get the prints guarantied clean from all the chemicals.

So do you guys now a way to fix the sticky sqeegees, clean them, coat them, or any other brilliant idea, and does anyone know of a place to get spares?

Would be so grateful for any inputs

They probably need to be replaced.

When the machine is not running for more than 12 hours or so, the roller squeegees need to be kept separated with clips that came with the Printo or they will literally meld to each other permanently. You can improvise with some made-made ones if you do not have the original ones.

The Printo is well-built and gives excellent results; finding replacement parts is not so easy.
