Durst Printo Motor noise

Hi guys, luckily I have a few spare motors so I could swap them around. But I wanted to know if any of you have experienced this before.
The noise comes from one of the motors, it stops when I hold the motor down with my hand but obviously I can't keep my hand on it!
Any advice would be great.

It sounds like the motor mount and not the motor itself. Check the screws that hold the motor in place, also check any rubber bits in the motor mount for deterioration.

Yes, correct it's the motor mount.
When you talk about rubber bits, where exactly do you mean?

I am looking forward to the answer! I have a motor unit that makes a noise like the plastic gears slipping against each other. My “solution” has been a gallon jug of chemistry placed on top of the unit- not ideal but it keeps it going.

@RMB10 I'd check the motor mount screws first. If these are loose, the motor will likely wobble.

If these can't be fastened, or there's still play on the red gear after fastening them, open up the motor / temp control unit and inspect for damage to the plastic. Sadly, the plastic of the Printo machines doesn't stand the test of time very well and becomes a bit brittle.

Also check the black grommet/seal behind the red gear; this should be in good shape (obviously).

It was a generic reply about motor noise/mounts. Some motors are mounted with rubber grommets or bumpers to isolate vibration and noise from the motor. It seems the Printo bolts the motor solidly (at least most of the time) to the machine's chassis.

If your car becomes buzzy and vibrates with engine RPM the problem is, again, in the motor mounts. With age the rubber gets weak and the mounts collapse.
