Durst M800 VC filters

Hi everyone, I picked up a vgc durst M800 yesterday (I thought a bargain £100); looks very good condition machine but missing the vc filter tray/ and filters. I read it originally came with above condenser tray glass 12cmx 12cm vc filters. Two questions if I may, is it fine to just leave the above condenser filter tray missing and find a way to use under lens filters, and 2) how likely /hard is it to find original VC filter tray/filters- I cant see anything on eBay etc.also any tipis the best lens size/condensers for 6x6 greatly appreciated- it currently has a Unicon 85 and a 75mm lens. 1. Yes, it will work fine without the filter tray.
2. Yes, under the lens filters will work fine.
3. The 75mm lens will work for 6x6
4. Condensers;
Unicon 50 = 35mm
Unicon 85 = 6x4.5 / 6x6 / 6×7
Unicon 105 = 6x9

Forget the other filters and go with a set of under-the-lens filters from Ilford. The holder clips onto the lens, and the filters can be used and swapped without shaking the enlarger much. If kept clean, they work perfectly for a long time and are easily replaced if needed.
