No option for the wall mount - I've got temporary darkroom and cannot make fixed installation of the column. Maximum paper size I can buy (as sheets of course) is 20x24 indeed - I'm doing 6x6, so currently, if I print 10x12, I'm doing 10x10, getting rid of excess paper using paper cutter afterwards. Anyways, I'll buy Beard 16x20 easel and will print 16x16 which is much larger than my current capabilities. If I want to go for 20x20, I will print directly on the baseboard, without an easel.

The Start version is just cranked up and down by winding the handle. I still think it should be a decent enlarger, just not quite as convenient as the pro version. And it'll be a bit lighter to move around.

how exactly should it work - I'm able to move the enlarger up and down regardless of the lock handle setting - the only way to prevent the head from moving is to turn locking knob. If I unlock the handle, I'm able to move the enlarger up and down rotating the inner knob, but if I lock it it is still possible but the force of movement is much lighter.

The inner lock rleases the head for sliding up or down. The outer part is rotated for head height adjustment when inner part is in lock position.

To lock head solidly, use locking knob under head.
