Durst M370 Colour - Advice for Medium Format.

I have just purchased a Durst M370 with the intention of using it to print 6x6. This is my first time creating a darkroom at home. I got the enlarger for a great price and its in excellent condition. But I still need to get the medium format masks and condenser for it. When looking online for them they were quite pricy, I was wondering if anyone had any advice/recommendations for a cheaper option? Could I DIY the parts or would other Durst model parts be compatible with the M370?

By simple googling at your enlarger and looking at pictures of it, i wouldn't be surprised if the negative holders for my M670 fit your M370 with no problem at all.

I'm not sure what do you mean with "masks", what you switch is the negative holder.

The M370 Color does not use condensers.

The M370 Color does not use condensers.

- Maybe he has the BW head

- Even with the color head, it uses a diffusor and, at least on my M670, there are two-sized diffusors, so you need the one for medium format if you want to print MF.

Sorry I’m awful with words! By mask I mean negative holder and condenser I mean the diffuser! So possibly M670 pieces will fit the M370?

For M670 and M605 it seems you need a SIVOPAR...

Yes, it uses the same SIVOPAR, SIXMA, etc accesories as the M670 for the negative carrier, but a different diffusor. You need a LIDICOLSET 66 as difussor.

Essentially you need the LIDIBOX 667, because you probably already have a negative carrier
