Want to Buy Durst lensboard. Lapla 50 for rodenstock 150mm

Wanting to buy a lensboard with 50mm mount. Appears to be uncommon.

It is. I bought a Rodagon 150mm a while ago and ran into the same problem. I solved it for a few euros with a piece of plastic sewer pipe with a rubber 50mm fitting. Works like a charm! If you're interested I can make photo's. I guess the problem is that across the world sewer systems differ in sizes, so I have no idea whether this would be available in Australia.

I am happy with any solution and I am sure all Rodagon owners are too! A photo would be great. The only other option I have read is to have a different Lapla lensboard tapped for the50mm.

They do eventually show up on eBay if you wait long enough. Set up a saved search so you'll get an email when one is listed. That's how I got mine.

I use a PVC sewer or water lead connection, to connect 2 50mm pipes. See:

- sorry, it's in Dutch, but the picture gives you an idea what to look for -
Cut off one of the thick rings at the end. Make sure the cut is nice flat and level. The ring has a rubber on the inside. The lens thread goes in the rubber. Not a true screw mount but it holds the lens very tight and level.
I made a round board that fits in the mount of the enlarger out of MDF. The PVC ring is glued to the MDF board. Once the glue is dry and solid, make the whole thing (somewhat) black.
I know, it looks ugly, but it works very well!

There are a couple of Lapla 50 extended lensboards on US ebay right now...

I have one I can sell but it's not pretty. It has three holes drilled through it that must be covered or filled to make it light-tight. I assume you don't need the lens.

I bought mine from DURST-PRO-USA Inc. for $59.6. They do have more Durst accessories in stock.

Thanks! I have grabbed the one with 20mm extension specifically for the Rodagon.

I'd suggest everyone looking for the right Lapla lens board to buy a filter aluminium step down ring: you should take the outer diameter of the lensboard that in most Durst enlarger is mm. 77 and for the interior the retaining thread lens size (in this case mm. 50). In my case I bought a 77-58 step down ring for my 210 Rodagon, a 77-52 and 52-50 for my 150 EL-Nikkor and for the 210 EL-nikkor I bought a 77-72 step down all for less than 15$. You'll have to file 45 degrees in 2 retaining pins/screw positions. 15 minutes work, very precise and cheap. If you need some extension you can look for some threaded extension tubes available in many lenghts at few more $ (10-15 on that site) to screw within the step down ring and the lens or between two step down rings.

Main advantage of this DIY solution is that's easy to mantain the parallelism on mounted lenses with the main structure.
