Durst Laborator 900 Enlarger

I have just acquired a Durst Laborator with two lenses , but I cannot change from 80mm to 50mm because the lens panel will only slide part of the way... It sticks and seems to want to go back to the 80mm setting Anybody know why it does this? Thanks
