I may have a chance to pick up one of these film processors and was curious if anyone had any idea as to the current market value. Seller is asking for $2000 but I'm thinking it's probably worth more like 400-600 like an ebay jobo. What do you think?

The advantage of the Filmetta is its compactness. If I remember right even smaller than the Jobo compact competitor. Disadvantage of both then is their limited capacity for number and format of films. As Gorbas indicated: a niche within a niche. I consider the price ridiculous. But I do so with many prices...

It's hard to find these nowadays I assume.
I pay 4.30 for a roll of C-41 and 5.70 for a roll of E6 development.
For B&W you don't even need the Filmetta or Jobo.

I don't know what you pay for development, but it seems to me that for 2000 USD you would have to process an aweful amount of film at home before this thing pays off.

Consider the time you have to put in and the cost of chemicals, too.
You would probably break even after 600 rolls (not including B&W) if it doesn't break before then.
How long would it take you to shoot 600 rolls?

That's a good point estimating the number of rolls like that. But no, I can't see myself buying this thing at his asking price.

Thanks for the sound advice everyone! I'm going to wait until there's a better deal. Plus he has the 230v version and I'm pretty sure if i managed to talk him down on price the unit might poop out with my 115v here

Just thought I would bump this thread. I may be interested in the same one (it's coming from Europe) and want to know what a fair price would be considering I cannot find any information regarding pricing online.
