I got a sweet little Semi Pearl where the slow speeds were gummed up, as one would expect. Everything else worked fine, but I took the glass out to flush the shutter. I thought it would be made like a Compur, but when I took the cam plate off the majority of the works were still covered. I appears that the retaining screws are in the back and the cover is a cylindrical cup. I left that assembled, preferring to go no deeper that necessary.

I flood cleaned the shutter and applied some graphite where possible, and the shutter now fires perfectly at all speeds. Everything is so smooth and slick that the cocking lever no longer catches; the shutter cycles when it it released. So now I need to check the linkage to see what is wrong.

What should I expect when removing the cover? Are there any loose bits or is everything secured to the back plate?
