Hi, Just wondering if anyone is making digital negatives with the cheaper epson 4 colour printers that us the Durabrite inks? Feedback, reports, troubles, concerns and in particular successes. Any information would be helpful. Thanks Len

I tried one of Epson printers with Durabrite inks a few years ago. The inks have good UV blocking but results were not as smooth as with the Epson 2200.

Thanks Sandy. Pity as a cheaper alternative would be nice. I have also been looking at the 1400 or 1410 and putting third party inks in that have better UV blocking characteristics. I notice screen printers use UV blocking inks, though still haven't found out much about them.
