Yeah, that one will not accept the code I input at the bottom of the page. I've tried it twenty times now. Oh well. Anyone interested in this thing? I've had enough.

Still no response from Dunco. Nothing but dead air. Not boding well for my ever buying anything else of theirs.

Gave another try today, but I'm not terribly hopeful that I will hear back.

Did you check your spam folder? Or gave them a call?

Been through the spam, have tried emailing from various email addresses of mine fearing I might have ended up in their spam. Phone calls go unanswered, or to voicemail, with no call back. I've left messages in English and my so-so German.

I understand how frustrating this could be. Luckily my recent experience with another German photo company has been first-rate. Another option is to contact one of their dealers. I know that Robert Vonk, also an APUGer, sells their stuff: Dead Link Removed

Good job on the teamwork guys....I think a lot of this stuff is going to get harder to find so sourcing it out like this is going to be critical in going forward.

Sepia, let me know if you ever grow tired of that LPL 35mm mixing box...;-)

I've sent them an email now as well. I have a 90/4 Pro easel that has been in storage for 10 years. The gas spring isn't working properly to keep the easel open. Also, and more troubling, is that the metal rods attached to the two horizontal beams/blades are coming off with one already off. It seems they were just glued on and the glue fails after some time.

Let's see how Dunco responds. The gas spring should be a straight forward swap, but I'm less certain about the metal rods as they'd need cleaning to remove the old glue, then the proper type of glue (whatever that may be) and then to be aligned correctly.

Anyone can say what the purpose of those metal rods are? Stability?

Just about a month ago another member stated that he got no reply at all from Dunco.
Lacking a manual he informed at Dunco about the meaning on same scales. In this case it might be the case of buying used and asking for free assistance, which of course is annoying quite some manufacturers. But still one could reply at least and offer to sell a manual.

Concerning these rods, I can't thing of anything else than being intended for stability.
You could re-glue them yourself. I guess the glue has come off at one sied only. Anway take off loose glue, cover the scale with tape then wipe the surface to connect with solvent like aceton, lay the ruler on a glass pane and cement the rod with a film of epoxy-cement.

I bought mine new and still have the box. The manual isn't much to speak of.
The glue failure is worrying - that shouldn't happen as everything else seems proper quality.
Worst case I can still use it as a crippled easel or jury rig repair until finding a longer term, simpler (no glue or gas springs) solution (maybe another brand).
