That's not as dark as I've seen for glycin, eventually it will look like black liquorice. Seriously, good glycin shouldn't be dark, maybe slightly tan. I have some antique bottles of Kodak Athenon (Glycin) looks like your tan/brown powder, my stuff is from the 1940's.

all the chemicals in powder form from Photo Formulary are packaged that way. When I order 130, If I am not mixing it immediately, then I put the glycin in the freezer.....until just before i do mix it.
I haven't bought glycine for quite a while from PF, but the last supply was packaged in a somewhat heavy black plastic bag. I keep it in the freezer and the last time I mixed up some 130 the glycine was still white.
I haven't used Glycin in decades. So long ago that I bought it from Eastman Chemical as a laboratory chemical. Came to me in a brown glass bottle. I use Ilford Bromophen, no Glycin for me.
