Hi All,
I posted this over on the silver gelatin emulsion forum, but on further thought, I realize this is the information's true home. It might be debatable about whether or not silver gelatin as a whole is 'alternative' yet, but the dry plate aspects most certainly are. A lot of communication about emulsions passes through my computer in a week, and I gotta tell you, interest in emulsion making is catching on. If you are holding back because you're afraid you'll be lonely, I don't think you need worry
Our small (but growing!), informal guild of emulsion makers has added a new member - Michael Carter. Michael is blogging his learning experiences here:

Michael is a creative and multi-talented artist. I'm very much looking forward to seeing what he will bring to our craft. He is being far braver than I was when I started blogging my initial emulsion efforts. He's inviting comments! I hope you visit his website and weigh in with encouragement and feedback.
The best of summers to you,
Denise
