Dry mount press prices...

Is it my imagination, or have used dry mount press prices gone through the roof? It seems only a short time ago, you couldn't give one away. Now all I see are ratty examples at $500+ on the bay, to which one would have to add up to $100 shipping. I've been monitoring Craigslist as well, and haven't turned up anything within my extended radius either...

FWIW, I'm looking for a Seal 210M.

In my experience, they were never given away. I paid $200 for a used Seal 200 20 years ago!

When you are looking for something and want it it always seems you never can find it for the cheap. I got lucky about a year ago and saw 500T on eBay and snatched it for $100.00. I had to drive 150mi. to get it, but it was worth it. If you are not in a hurry they show up from time to time. Another place to watch are local auctions where businesses/factories are either going out or have gone out of business. You'd be surprised what's at those auctions.

Mine - Seal 150 - was $3, with 2-3 hundred sheets of tissue.
Yardsale, of course.
