DRY MOUNT: Cold -V- Hot

I know there are issues with dry mounting using a hot press, in terms of removal, etc., but are there other/additional issues if you use cold, sticky two sided adhesive mounting paper?

I tried the sticky two sided adhesive material years ago, and found it would sometimes not adhere permanently. My hot press has paid for itself over the past 20+ years.
