Drumscanner advice - to purchase

Dear All,

I would like to purchase a table top drum scanner in the very near future. I was mainly researching on the Dainippon screen 1030ai and the Scanmate 5000. Also, a Howtek 4500 would be nice too, but I could not find much more information online about it.
I'd love to hear your opinion about these three models. All info and help is greatly appreciated.

I have Howtek 4500, if there is anything specific you want to know, just ask.

I don't have any first hand experience with the other two scanners you are looking at, but I think it eventually will not be down to which scanner model but to which scanner is within your driving range since you really don't want to have any of them shipped to you...

Thank you! I just saw some of the images scanned with your howtek over flickr, it seems quite convincing. Well, I am on the same page with you with that, but perhaps with a pallet box padded with foam could be a good solution, when it comes to shipping. As I know, scanmate scanners used to have these boxes for transportation.
