When I heard that Kodak was discontinuing Ultra Color 400 film, I talked to the manager of the local CVS and offered to buy all of it to clear off the shelf space for something else. I bought over 60 rolls of fresh film for about $1.50US for each 26 exposure roll. I still have most of that stash in my freezer.

Our CVS still has some Kodak and Fuji film but I don't remember seeing the CVS brand (Fuji) the last time I was there. I still have a supply of 200 speed CVS film in my freezer.
Our equivalent pharmacy chain Boots, does a selection of C41 135 & Ilford Mono 135 and 120 in large shops.
Pound land only does Agfa Vista 135 Both chains are on most high streets.
E6 only a few specialist shops...
I live out at edge of fields so need to walk two statute miles for a large Boots, open on Sunday too.
The local food shop stopped stocking about five years ago.
There is still a low level demand.
The problem is if cine stops so does Kodak.
I was at Walmart the other day for the first time in a while, and I noticed they are stocking film again. All Fuji Superia 400, plus disposable cameras.
Hi Xmas. Indeed Boots are ok for the odd roll of film. Very often an ongoing offer "buy one get one half price", so not bad for the occasional purchase. They always have Ilford HP5+, even in Newquay store, which is quite small, so I am happy to use them.
Hi Boots and a couple of camera shops here in Harrogate .Even the local Jessops the guy looked at me funny when I asked for 35mm film and then remembered he had a few rolls in an old box under the counter .
The Walmart stores around here stock 35mm Fuji 200 and 400 color rolls and disposables. They recently stopped carrying Fuji xtra 800, and probably to be expected since I kept buying it short date on clearance. I have not seen any film in the drugstores except for the Walgreens across form one of the local universities.

I was in a Canadian Walmart this week, and they had both Kodak and Fuji 35mm colour film - 200 ISO and 400 ISO in the case of Kodak.

When my local boots cleared out its own brand film (Japan - fuji?) I got the rest of the slide for 2 quid per roll - 36 exp 200 iso slide...
... Process paid! Sadly, half way through the 15 or so rolls the process paid thing stopped ss the lab shut. Still though!

Here those chains is still the most available, local supply for type 135. Two speeds at CN, one b&w and one CR.
In the recent years there still was a great variety of film at these chain shops. Even Ektar was available at one chain (but due to low sales it was cancellled).
Last spring both major chains cancelled their cheap CN house-branded Fuji films though.

Another UK member here. I've never been to a Boots with any kind of photo equipment on sale that didn't have some C41 colour film and HP5+ in 35mm. The better Boots will have Kodak and Fuji C41 film, Ilford XP2 super, FP4+, Delta 100 and HPt+ as well as a Fuji slide film. It's only a few years ago that Boots stopped their own brand of C41, E6 and B&W films...and they were still selling Kodachrome super 8 into the 2000's. My guess is they still get some trade from serious amateur photographers...especially after Jessops more or less died. Boots tend to be a bit on the expensive side but it's great to know that if I am out and about, and really need a roll of HP5+, they are there.
Poundland usually have Agfa vista 200 and I would guess they are selling mostly to people who buy in small quantities and who never "went digital". Though I bet a few more serious amateurs pick up the stuff as it is very good value.
In Luton we are lucky enough to have two Poundlands, a good Boots and a proper traditional camera shop in the town centre. The latter does pretty much the whole range of Ilford, Kodak and Fuji. They still have something of a "wall of film"...but no foma or Adox. Still, can't complain.

In Lincoln (pop 150k ish), I can buy film at London Camera Exchange, Snappy Snaps, Poundland, Boots, Tesco Supermarket (x2) and Wilko. Those are just shops I normally go to - other supermarkets might stock film as well. Snappy Snaps are processing 10 to 12 films a day (and not all of them mine!).
Walgreen's in Phoenix now only sells a disposable camera, no longer sells color film.

Is Fuji still manufacturing film for third parties?

Are there film manufacturers other than Fuji in Japan? Current APX 100 is made in Japan by someone.
Here in Finland you could buy APX 100 from a certain supermarket chain. They're the last ones to stock film, though. This has changed dramatically in last five years or so.

That is new to me!
You mean the B&W APX100 box is marked "Made in Japan"?
Or is it you are mixing things up? It is the colour negative and the slide films that are made in Japan.

Shoppers Drugmart or LD? I reckon LD would have some fresh stuff, but not Shoppers.
