Dri-slide: miracle in a bottle

Interesting! Where do you apply it, and how long does it take for the carrier to evaporate?

Anywhere you need lubricant, especially graphite. It's quick, although I haven't timed it.

You can. It works best if you open up the film, and apply liberally by squirting it into the bag. Only do it under soft white light though or you will expose the film.

I used Dri-Slide for years when servicing bicycles. It's somewhat messy (until it dries) and will leave stains on some surfaces.

Seems to be a good penetrating, dry-film lubricant for metal-on-metal.

Camera repair. In some places it’s a good substitute for light grease on sliding surfaces.

I use another bicycle chain lubricant called Ice Wax on camera rails and on Grafmatic and Kinematic septa. Quickly dries to hard and clear.

I've used both teflon and ceramic wax lubricant as well. I wasn't impressed with the teflon very much, but I find finish line ceramic lubricant very good.
